Organisms from Krypton arrive on Earth and fuse themselves with a Superman robot and a military general with a grudge against the Man of Steel. The Kryptonoid was frozen and banished into deep space after an attempt to conquer Krypton. Now it will get revenge on the man who defeated it -- Jor-El!

The Kryptonoid creature shoots purple rays from its eyes which causes a traffic light to come to life and coil itself around a weakened Superman like a python.

"And once you are dead -- nothing can stop me!" Earth will be MINE!" screams the creature.

Brave and the Bold #92, Nov 1970 by Bob Haney and Nick Cardy.

Happy 100th heavenly birthday to Ramona Fradon. My admiration of her work throughout the decades is well documented. She is best remembered for her work on the silver age Aquaman, the Super Friends comic series, Brenda Starr daily strip and for co-creating Metamorpho. She passed in 2024.

Ramona Fradon poses with one of her beautiful Aquaman water color commissions.

An experiment to change Metamorpho back to normal ends up making Rex a composite of Superman and Batman so he decides to help them as Super-Freak -- but Rex quickly eclipses the heroes, causing them to defect to a rival communist country. Super-Freak is asked to bring in the heroes - dead or alive.

An insane Metamorpho has transformed into a composite Superman/Batman freak with metal grappling hooks for arms and he is holding an unconscious Superman and Batman in his hand.
