The Barnyard Broadcast Radio Control Room Early Background Layout Drawing Walt Disney (1931) "Meow. Meow." Wait a minute, that's not Minnie's harp playing over the radio! From the Mickey Mouse theatrical short The Barnyard Broadcast comes this original early background layout drawing for the radio control room seen multiple times throughout the feature. This short was directed by Burt Gillett (1891 - 1971) and released on October 10, 1931. It saw Mickey and Minnie along with Horace Horsecollar and Clarabelle Cow put on a radio concert from a barn repurposed into a broadcasting studio.
