Looking back, he says, “don’t make fun of me, I really do feel bad.” She replies, “oh, sorry, I didn’t mean to-“ but he cuts her off with “I’m already having a terrrible day and the last thing I need is for you to make it worse. No offence.” Melody apologises again and then tries to steer the conversation to something more positive, saying, “what’s wrong, is there anything I can help with?” But Zachary says no. He looks at his piano, dismaying that his deadlines are creeping closer while he still feels unable to create anything productive. He doesn’t know why he’s struggling.Melody approaches Zachary but he slaps her in the face. She pauses to recover before saying "I have to clean the kitchen."Melody’s doppelgänger tilts her head to the side and chastises her with a sarcastic and mocking smile, “wow, Melody, what a great idea! I wonder how that’ll go…” Melody glares at her unflinchingly, her left eye adorned with a bruise as her doppelgänger continues, “let’s just walk right in over and ask him very nicely to please not hit us anymore! He might even apologise!”
