Last night at Cornelly (Cap Hill) we had an heirloom tomato and stone fruit salad topped with chili crisp, and omg - what an amazing combination! 😋 Never again will my nectarines be naked. 🍑

A large pot sits in plain sight. There’s a frog in it. Every day, Leader announces his plans to boil the frog. His campaign slogan was “BOIL THAT FROG.” A man stirs the pot with a large stick. “It’s a metaphor,” he says. The frog is sweating.

Normally I crop photos to zoom in on the cat, but I like this one the way it is because I keep expecting a second kitty to pop up in the window. Photo from my collection no date/info.

Congrats to all the winners and finalists! 🎉 I saw so many fabulous stories drafted in the 2026 March Micro Marathon - I have no doubt we'll see them out in the world soon (which reminds me ... maybe I should submit mine somewhere … anybody want a story? 🙃).

Sometimes I post art even though I'm not satisfied with it—people still enjoy it. Reminder that anyone can do art... drew 2 stick figures exchanging New Year's greetings? Congratulations, you're an artist & you didn't need a machine to spit that out for you. Be not afraid... do human art in 2026💜

Reading will make you more interesting. Last week I met up with some old friends and we were discussing Cornwall. I told them, “According to legend, the devil avoids Cornwall for fear he will be baked into a pie” and the expression on their faces was priceless.

If I were running the DNC, there would be Democratic Party sponsored food relief banks across the country right now that specifically welcomed anyone regardless of party affiliation. Along with the food, there could be voter registration and links to runforsomething.net

Somehow I find myself reading two novels about twins at the same time (one hard copy, one audio; both boy-girl; all teens). Is it a sign? Perhaps a test to see how long I can keep them straight without confusion? 🧐

This mouse has been staring at me through the kitchen window for an hour. Maybe I’ve read too many books, but I can’t help feeling I’m missing the call to some epic quest. 🐭 🗡️
