Todd Rundgren's Johnson did not fare well with the critics. The audience was slightly more forgiving.
I never really rated him as a standout amongst his peers despite his stature in genre fiction, but finding out Ray Bradbury is a pretty bog-standard Republican doesn't exactly do him any favors in my estimation of him.
New age and the smoother end of jazz are often considered genres where the line between still good and too cheesy can be razor-thin, but I think math rock often treads that line as well. All too easy for it to veer into the territory of complex muzak for guys who work at Guitar Center or its ilk.
