Gosh, I am so late posting about this, but I'm very excited to be a featured artist at Sequential Scotland this Saturday! 📢 Featured artist announcement! This year's poster artist is Fran Morton (mortiscausa.bsky.social), an award winning comic creator from Edinburgh. 📖 sequentialscotland.co.uk

This year’s poster artist, Fran, is a freelance illustrator and award winning comic creator from Edinburgh. She worked in animation for several years and has been making comics in some form since she was a teenager. In 2024 she won Best Short Comic at the Selkie Awards, and in 2025 she was shortlisted for the inaugural Newberry Medieval Minicomic Prize for work that engages with medieval history. Her work is primarily inspired by history, folklore, Arthuriana, and a fondness for tragedy.

🚨UK Self-Employed folks: THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!🚨 The Government is considering making us pay taxes on a MONTHLY BASIS. You can tell them your opinion on the matter. Personally I think this is deranged and ANOTHER weight on the shoulders of small businesses/sole traders. Spread the word!🙏

There is currently a petition to demand environmental impact assessments for data centres, this will include the one at Auchtertool and the other two that will be interconnected with it. I will post in the comments, please sign, it will help us to oppose these data centres being built in Scotland

An annual reminder: The cognitive & emotional toll of staying in contact with abusive family can be both significant & difficult to recognize. There's a kind of social contract that abusive parents have violated. You owe them nothing. Nothing. Mother's Day doesn't change that.
