Review: Sonic Dream Team For a game hidden behind a mobile phone subscription, it's a really great game. The controls are extremely solid and moving and jumping feel the best in any Sonic game. This needs a console port. (Read Full Review)
TimeSplitters: Future Perfect A great game, more cinematic than TimeSplitters 2, with a great story, but the levels aren't as much fun. Wonderful multiplayer, though. (Read Full Review)
Cypher 007 A really fun isometric stealth game. Not as simple as you'd expect from a mobile-only game (a controller is a must) and it's a shame it's locked behind a subscription. (Read Full Review)
I've never felt worse than I have right now, due to personal stuff. I'm just broken and defeated and what's worse is that there's nothing I can do to help. I just don't know what in going to do.
I'm enjoying Lords of Shadow so far, and it has some really lovely views. But it feels like I should be nearing the ending and I'm not even half way through. It doesn't help that the game has some filler (on a game that would be more than long enough anyway).
Order of Ecclesia is a very fun game, but I found the first half frustratingly difficult, then a single ability in the second half made it very easy
I've redone my N64 PC port page, focusing more on more native PC ports and separating out into categories: • Native PC Ports • Official Remasters • Recomps • Official old PC ports (still available) • PC Versions different to the N64 game djcube.co.uk/n64-pc-port-...

Resident Evil 4 A risky change to turn a survival horror into more of an action game, but it was done so well that it became the standard for the franchise. (Read Full Review)
I accidentally recorded a bit of footage of Castlevania Grimoire of Souls.
I'm really loving The Chandelier by Bear McCreary and Patrick Stump (Fall Out Boy). youtu.be/x6CuXKqV00c?...

First listen to The Singularity: Ekleipsis by @bearmccreary.bsky.social and it's another smashing album. Love the new version of I, Forever, and The Chandelier is an early highlight.
My sister let me borrow a device that lets me play a few mobile games I want to cover.
Dice Hospital is a very fun worker placement board game. Reminds me of Theme Hospital.

The combat in Castlevania: Curse of Darkness is really good, but the levels are just so boring, not to mention the rather bad plot. Kind of the opposite of Lament of Innocence.
I wasn't expecting Castlevania Puzzle to have Metroidvania and RPG elements to it. Oh, and the Windows Phone emulator for Android works really well.
Stargate SG-1: Unnatural Selection (S06 E12) Thor needs help with the replicators again, their time dilation device they used to trap them has gone wrong, so SG-1 and the Prometheus are sent to investigate. However, the replicators have evolved. djcube.co.uk/stargate-sg-...

Scaler A platformer where you play as a purple lizard. The movement is really well done - but the levels are broken up by lots of tedious combat arenas. (Read Full Review)
I tried out the Super Yooka-Laylee Kart test. I didn't get on with the handling and, while it visually looks nice, all the extra graphical flair and warping just made me feel nauseous, and I've only encountered motion sickness in two or three games.
One thing that baffles me about game credits are how purchased assets are rarely given credit. It's like "this game was made by only two people" when the music, graphics, level design and more were made by hundreds of uncredited people.
Games should start listing their credits on the Steam Page directly, like PC settings. All games. All staff. All of them. I want human made games, and I want to know who made it.
Decided to check out the Amiga version of Castlevania and there's some interesting designs, especially Dracula's second form.
I thoroughly enjoyed Dawn of Sorrow, especially the bonus mode. Brilliant game.
