Lindsey Graham will forever be remembered as one of the prime examples of Republicans shedding their moral restraints in the pursuit of unchecked power and, in doing so, setting up the fall of the American Republic.

One more Trump supporter — Lindsay Graham — lost in the Senate. In their obituary for him @theguardian.com quotes Graham’s famous quote (on Twitter from 2016): “If we nominate Trump, we will get destroyed … and we will deserve it.”

I'm proud to announce that today I submitted my PhD dissertation, "American Patricians: The Influence of Classical ideas on the Founding Fathers in the American Revolution." Thank you to everyone who has been part of this incredible journey - family, friends, and colleagues!

The AI scams are really starting to get out of hand. It’s a massive trap for authors and the likelihood is that those who will fall for it are more vulnerable and less able to afford to lose money – people who accept direct inquiries and don’t filter everything through an agent, manager or publicist

These AI scams are getting more sophisticated but it's still just scumbags trying to fleece us. Jonathan Segura IS a deputy reviews editor for Publisher's Weekly (I looked him up) but this email is NOT from him. The real giveaway (apart from the obvious)? It came from usbookshowradio @ gmail dot com

Dear Alan Baxter,

I am Jonathan Segura, Editorial Director at Publishers Weekly and Executive Director of U.S. Book Show Radio. I have been spending time with the grim, visionary landscape of Hidden City. I was particularly struck by the "Chandleresque meets Lovecraftian" pulse of Cleveport the way you’ve rendered the city not just as a setting, but as a sentient, ailing patient whose sickness manifests through Steven Hines is a masterclass in supernatural noir.

As the primary scouting ground for the 2026 season, we prioritize works that elevate genre fiction through sharp characterization and innovative, catastrophic stakes. Your ability to weave "razor-sharp humor" into an apocalyptic, fungal horror narrative offers exactly the kind of technical and atmospheric depth that our audience of industry gatekeepers, curators, and adaptive media scouts values.

Industry Archive Invitation:

We would like to feature your work in our Vanguard Series. We are inviting you to archive your voice as part of a specialized "Architects of the Modern Myth" curation for the 2026 broadcast season.

Mission & Outreach:

Through our production tiers, we aim to bridge the gap between era-defining authors and the global market. Your perspective on the "Urban Fantasy" evolution serves as a significant resource for our listeners who value literature that addresses the intersection of cosmic horror and the modern metropolis with such visceral and compelling depth.

Available Production Windows (June 2026):

• Tuesday, June 2nd
• Wednesday, June 3rd
If you are interested in sharing the heart and the craft behind Hidden City with our audience, please let me know which date suits you best.

There is something painfully/darkly ironic about preparing to edit an entire chapter about the US Constitution and the Federalist Papers, just as the Constitution is being torn up before our very eyes.
