Hello Queer Bluesky, this Pride Month my aim is to reach more awesome queer people on here! So, a small introduction: I’m Damo, a researcher who investigates queer representations in media and culture (particularly onscreen).

In exciting news, my book ‘Queer Stories in Australian TV Drama: Production Culture, Policy, and Distribution’ will be published by Routledge in October 2026. It is part of the Advances in Television Studies series.

Hey, so Whitney Monaghan and I have found over 70 queer storyworlds in TV since the 1990s across UK, US, Australia and Canada (there’s more in more places), and I’m gonna work through and add as many as I can to the quoted thread throughout Pride Month.
