Of course it happens that I forgot to have my Outback on a trickle charger before going away on vacation so it was pretty much entirely dead when I needed it today... Good thing I have a booster pack. So now the car is sitting on the charger before it gets parked on the street for 6(!) weeks...

Also I'm sorry for doing discourse, I try to avoid talking about Will Stancil usually, especially because he name searches himself constantly like a loser and will inevitably quote tweet me calling me a bully, but misrepresenting Terry Pratchett is more than I could stomach from him.

Terry Pratchett was not merely a "fantasy writer" he was an acclaimed satirist known for studying politics and society and then using a fantasy setting as a means to provide commentary on the things around him. To ascribe his world to belonging to "fantasy logic" is extremely rude.

Will Stancil's insistance on calling Sir Terry Pratchett a "fantasy writer" in a generic way, and making it clear he hasn't read anything Discworld, is so extremely typical his attitude of learning exactly as much about a topic as he needs to make his point and then refusing to learn anything else.

I don't usually send "per my previous email" emails, but when I do, then tend to immolate the recipient. Somebody at the CAF Pension Centre is likely going to burst into flames in the morning when they open my email because someone did not change my name on my pension account back in April. I'm mad.

I transitioned at 36. I'm 41 now. Transitioning has made my life worth living. Sure, I still have my challenges with health and mental health, but everything just seems... brighter. Lighter. Better. It's not too late. It's never too late.

If you have transitioned later in life, please know how deeply you are needed here. Your story is the exact proof someone else needs to finally take their first step.

Ran the numbers for last month in terms of electricity costs vs projected fuel costs for my Ioniq 6 vs my Outback, and the results are rather... staggering. 6,135km driven, DC fast charger costs of $373.33. Projected fuel costs in the neighbourhood of $1,500... EV FTW? I'd say yes, for me at least.

So, I had a very odd thought when I was driving home to Regina on Friday. I was actually THANKFUL to be getting back to Saskatchewan from Alberta. I've never thought that before. But the current climate in Alberta feels so alien to me, it felt like a completely foreign place. Province of my birth...
