As an experiment, I had Claude run a D&D campaign for a while. It took me a couple of days to realize it was narrating (making up) the dice rolls. There are work arounds to almost every problem, including this one. But keeping it from lying or just making shit up is really, really hard.

We start Session 1 this Saturday night. Lots of the four conjunctions of improv ahead: Yes and, yes but, no but, and no and. Since the plot is not predestined, I as the DM, won't need to keep things "on track" so to speak. A bit scary in that I don't have a sense of what will happen in the end. #dnd

getting excited for D&D, getting all the snacks and drinks ready cuz in your mind you're like "Yay everyone will be doing things and I will sit and listen", then it hits you, you are the one DMing, and gotta talk a lot

The first Session 0 is over and 2/3rds of the group had prepared an initial backstory before the session. Lots of hooks built into the detsils of Session -1 were created by the players. We will start in earnest next week, as I present "lego bricks" to the characters and sit back and see how it goes.

Getting ready for a D&D camping weekend. So excited!! I prepared a level 3 artificer. First time playing artificer. (I’m usually the dm. Don’t get to play as often. So excited!)

the trouble with a sandbox: I THINK I know where my players are going next. but do I really? and also what if they turn into speedrunners all of a sudden? clearly I've gotta prepare thrice as much as I normally would
