I remember almost giving up on Diamandis & Kotler's Abundance. It's not even ironic how that 2012 jumble of techno-optimism and techno-philanthropy quickly became a neoliberal fever dream: not long after it came out, COVID-19 and its aftermath made much of it feel quaint, misguided, irrelevant.
