The best thing about Vote Blue No Matter Who is that it unloads a lot of cognitive burden. I wanted Tom Steyer to be in the Governor's race, but he's not so I'm gonna vote for Becerra. I don't follow his campaign at all: I'm voting for him because he's not a Republican.
This is good and important because it will also set the stage for undoing the Trump administration as illegal from day 1

The real question is going to be will the next democratic administration staff the government with prestige lawyers who made deals with Trump or the lawyers who resisted this administration. Option 1 and project 2025 will succeed long term - option 2 and the republic survives

I do not think the good influencer is what neutralizes a bad influencer. I dont think the way to stop this is "more speech". The only way to stop this is to prevent the platform from monetizing and profiting from the influencer- all of them.
David Roberts@volts.wtf · 6d agoI genuinely don't know what to do about this. In our diseased information environment, one MAGA-adjacent "influencer" can do more to shape public opinion than mountains of studies or facts. Where are the pro-clean-energy influencers to counter this shit?
Maybe its because my mom was an architect... but I think having this level of tacky taste should be an impeachable offense
