WIP! Started on a Grail Knight Blitzer. Cloth and leathers all wrapped up. Hopefully metallics tomorrow buuuuuuut theres also a juicy new Space Engineers update today and our mods might have unbroken by then sooooo

WIP on Sky! Not much to show. Mostly printing her base to the right size, waiting on texture pastes to dry, waiting on glued rocks to dry, waiting on more texture pastes to dry, and waiting for badly (and abandoned) Green Stuff vines to dry. But you can see the Rocky jungle outcrop *idea* there

WIP on Sky! She is technically all finished up. The leopard print was tricky to do, but I’m really happy with it. I thought I had printed a base for her but I guess I hadn’t? So working on that now. 3D printing is *finicky* sometimes. It’s great, but I hate how much trial and error there is.

WIP! Crammed for time tonight but I did get the leathers done. Ball, metallics, and details to go. These guys are interesting because the metallics are both the largest part of the model but also the last part to be painted, so the entire thing feels trapped in the “trust the process” stage.

Very good weather today. Absolute banger of a thunderstorm woke me up at 430 and kept going for a while. Really love a good storm. Then lots of little on/off storms through the day. Genuinely loved it. Love a good storm. Merlin, however…

WIP! Didn’t leave myself with a huge amount of painting time but I was able to get the Knight Thrower’s surcoat, shorts, and tabard done. Tomorrow I’ll hammer out a bunch of the leathers and hopefully metallics. Then the swan helm!

Today was a bit more of a rough one. I think it’s stresshaustion. My wonderful wife, that’s Mrs Dr Dropkick, dragged my ass out of bed and to a used book store a few cities over. Scored some glorious hits.

WIP! New weekend project started. This is Sky (aka the lovingly titled “F3 - Barbarians - 16 “Sky” “) 1987, sculpted by the Perry Twins. Aiming for some classic bad sword and sorcery vibes (my preferred juice). Got a base planned for her but that’s all next weekend :)

I used to (1990s-2000s me) hate painting pewter models. Now I love when a model is in pewter. Dunno why.

My wife, that’s Mrs Dr Dropkick, has a nut allergy. The landbastard refuses to do anything about the trees that reach over to our balcony so squirrels keep coming on to it and leaving peanuts behind, so it’s now a minefield for her. She took matters into her own hands.
