Honestly the justices (particularly Justice Sotomayor) sound ... somewhat taken aback that they're even hearing this case. And ... same? Also - you didn't have to! You could have just issued a summary op saying "See the Fourteenth Amendment"! Even last year in the nationwide inujunction case!
