Just to get this straight: first the administration decides to send someone to a foreign prison by mistake - a court rules to stop that flight. They do it anyways. Then they acknowledge that they made a mistake, but didn’t bother to bring him back. Again a court rules to bring him back.

So the United States now has to realize, that it might cause some problems if judges are assigned by politicians and therefore rule in favor of one or the other. How could a democracy choose a Supreme Court as their highest authority without putting safety measures in place?
