"Print/Distro-It-Yourself" publication project to resist the 2025 takeover of the USA government. Collection of materials to print & disseminate: linktr.ee/dogemag Feedback and submissions via email: dogemag@proton.me

Next week! Join @mskellymhayes.bsky.social in conversation with Shane Burley, Leah Lakshmi Piepzna-Samarasinha, and Atena O. Danner to discuss 𝙍𝙚𝙖𝙙 𝙏𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙒𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙏𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨 𝙁𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝘼𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙩, a collection of letters to activists and organizers on the frontlines in catastrophic times. Register: bit.ly/4ngNHwQ

A landscape oriented flyer for the Haymarket virtual launch of "Read This When Things Fall Apart: Letters to Activists in Crisis." There is a photo of the book cover on the left, which depicts a nighttime moonlit scene of someone wading through the water, looking towards the stars. To the right are four circles with individual speaker headshots. From top to bottom and left to right: Kelly Hayes, Shane Burley, Leah Lakshmi Piepzna-Samarasinha, and Atena O. Danner. October 28th, 4pm ET.

To paraphrase, "Change the system from within, or change it from the outside" The choice - and assessment of what will be effective - is still for you to decide. Calling it "infiltrating" is sexier, but it doesn't change what it actually is.

Yesterday, a new indictment was revealed in North Texas that uses Trump’s new directive to go after “antifa” to prosecute the Prairieland Defendants. This is the first instance where the Trump Administration has framed “antifa” as a terrorist group in a criminal case.

Realistically we need 5 posts about what we collectively are (going to be) doing to resist and undermine the fascism, for every 1 post about whatever new announcements and actions the fascists are rolling out and want people to be talking about. But we've got the reverse, and even at a worse ratio.

"And I thought, oh my God, we're in denial. Because the one thing you know as a historian, you don't know which ships are going to sink, but you know there's no such thing as a ship that cannot sink. Any ship can sink. Including the United States."

... you can only flood. Yeah. Right, it used to be that people thought once the truth gets out there, that's going to save us. We now know it's not going to save us because the problem is not that it's not out there that's going to save us. We now know it's not going to save us because the problem is not that it's not out there. But in 2022, when journalists were asking me, how is this different from the Second World War? And I thought about what the Polish underground courier, Jan Karski, went through to bring news of the Holocaust to the West. And he was smuggled by Jewish

He had to get to London, then he had to get to the States, and even then he's sitting in the Supreme Court and the Justice is saying, I'm sorry, I'm not able to believe you. And Karski says, are you accusing me of lying, Your Honor? And he says, no, I'm not accusing you of lying. I'm just, I'm unable to believe you. A reminder that three top scholars on fascism already left Yale to go to Canada, University of Toronto: Jason Stanley, Marci Shore, and Timothy Snyder We posted long-form radio pieces with each of them, separately, from Canada's CBC: archive.org/details/fasc... It's worth hearing their perspective

“Anyone who has any critique of Trump is potentially in the crosshairs,” says @mark-bray.bsky.social, a Rutgers professor who fled the country with his family after receiving death threats for his antifa scholarship.

It's kind of like how in the earlier days of Israel's genocide of Gaza, individual genocide scholars would one by one make public statements saying in their opinion, it was a genocide. After a while there's only the apologists and denialists who won't acknowledge it.

“What we’re seeing today in the U.S. is increasingly fascist. MAGA, I believe — and I study fascism, I don’t say this lightly — is a fascist movement.”

"Support the Resistance Movement - Spread Leaflets" We can't emphasize enough how doing print distro: * Reaches people who don't see or follow things on social * Makes resistance visible offline, apart from protests * Creates an opportunity to actually TALK TO PEOPLE, FACE TO FACE * Inspires people

Now seems like an opportune moment to ask for help in getting this poster out into the offline world - where people can encounter it on telephone poles, or in businesses, offices, etc ... The antifa / anti-fascism lineage does go back almost a hundred years! PRINT IT ➡️ archive.org/details/spre...

A poster, with the title "White Rose" in block letters at top, with a period, and directly underneath on the right side, "Celebrate People's History.

There is a light blue background, and the rest is in black and white. An illustration of a white rose in the top left, a couple illustrations of papers with unreadable writing on them (because it is too small), and in the top half are three illustrations of 'head shot' photos, each of a white man with names written underneath: W. Graf, C. Probst, K. Huber.

The center of the poster is text in a somewhat hand-written looking type of font, with a white background. It reads:
"After Hitler took power in 1933, several resistance groups fought against the regime. The White Rose was founded in 1942 and based in Munich. Its members were students Hans and Sophie Scholl, Christoph Probst, Willi Graf, Aleander Schmorell and Professor Kurt Huber. Against great odds and heavy repression, they printed six different leaflets against the Nazis, and at one point they painted slogans like "Down with Hitler" and "Freedom" in the streets.
While distributing leaflets in 1943 they were caught and later executed. Their resistance mae them legendary and gave great courage to all who opposed the Nazis.
"Support the resistance movement - spread leaflets!"
The White Rose"

At the bottom of the poster are illustrations of three more people, also all white, two men and one woman, seemingly together though only their heads and shoulder areas are visible. The woman is looking forward while the two men who are both facing towards the middle from either side, each are looking down. Presumably they are the other three White Rose members although their names are not written.

Other text appears in different places of the poster:
"What are you going to risk?"
"What would they be doing today, in the USA?"
"If not you, then who?"
"If not now, then when?"

And at the bottom, under the central text, text appears:

It's more than a bit scary that where we're at NOW, is that his boarding pass disappeared at the last minute and so he wasn't able to leave Meanwhile all the high profile people attacking him just had a roundtable in the White House, where the US Attorney General said they'd be killing antifascists

Sharon Machlis@smachlis.bsky.social · 10mo ago

This is a professor at Rutgers who teaches a class on the history of anti-fascism. He also teaches about human rights. He has received multiple death threats and been doxed. He is relocating to Europe for his safety. This is where we are in the US now. www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025...

Mark is one of the US’s leading scholars on the history of antifascism and a professor at Rutgers University. He was harassed by the fascist group TPUSA, and began receiving death threats. As he and his family attempted to flee the country, this happened:

Mark Bray@mark-bray.bsky.social · 10mo ago

“Someone” cancelled my family’s flight out of the country at the last second. We got our boarding passes. We checked our bags. Went through security. Then at our gate our reservation ‘disappeared.’

The thing about this, is that there is law in the USA about a 'foreign terror organization' - while the previous designation of 'antifa' as a 'domestic terror organization' didn't actually have legal meaning. So they're tightening up their operation. PS: "anti-terror" isn't actually what he said.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com · 10mo ago

Q: Are you going to work with your administration to designate antifa a foreign terror organization? TRUMP: You mean anti-terror? Q: Antifa TRUMP: Antifa? Q: A foreign terror organization TRUMP: Would you like to see it done? I'd be glad to do it. Does everybody agree? It sounds good to me

"The source close to the negotiators said “Trusting [Trump’s] word is the gamble they are taking. If it works, they will be considered geniuses. If it fails, they will be considered fools. It’s as simple as that.”" #Gaza #Ceasefire
