My next book (October 20) is on the Victorian medical detective Joseph Bell. SLEUTH-HOUND is a whirlwind tour of Victorian forensics from the perspective of the man who loaned a voice and razor-sharp logic to Baker St.’s famous resident: Sherlock Holmes. /1

A great little story - most definitely of its time - but one that has a lot of humour, pace and depth. We also covered 'The Debut of Bimbashi Joyce', a companion piece that features Kitchener, and a vignette I've always thought was very well done.
