Don’t understand why so many restaurants insist on adding a percentage based service charge. Is it really better business to trick your customers rather than increasing the prices by that percentage to actually reflect the real price of the food?

I've been thinking for a while now that benchmarking the ability of an LLM to solve problems in a brand new (unpublished) language would be a brilliant way to measure its reasoning ability. The EsoLang benchmarks come close to this and show that the reasoning ability is pretty poor across the board

The way Google's AI mode is so quick to start citing crazy subreddits like r/KotakuInAction is scary. It causes it to quite literally promote various conspiracy theories, including that video games are "woke" because of ESG scores. Crazy stuff. Hey @opensource.google, you should fix this.

Apple has just raised prices across the board. Including the following: MacBook Neo to $699 from $599; MacBook Air to $1,299 from $1,099; MacBook Pro to $1,999 from $1,699; iPad Pro to $1,199 from $999; iPad Air to $749 from $599.
