Today was my last day helping w/ news at @eurogamer.bsky.social. All good, as it was originally planned to be a shorter run, but I'm happy it went on for a while. Needless to say, that's an A+ team full of new and old faces I've loved working with. Nice change of pace, but back to my previous state!

Trying not read straight white men Last few books have been Becky Chambers, short queer Irish stories about death, an oral history about gay bars, Orwell on English cooking, Asako Yuzuki, and 1960s sci-fi written by a bisexual biologist ....anyone got any recs somehow in this vein?

Have to use Twitter for work (via the work account, mine is long gone) and it's fascinating to see how rancid it is over there. Nothing but people being shitty and taking everything in the worst faith imaginable. You can't imagine anyone out there happy. A den of woe. Plato's cave for malcontents.

Listening to this as my audiobook at the moment. Good lord. One of those books that makes you want to improve as a writer, that evokes something between jealousy and awe. It's delicious, it's insidious, it's erotic, it's repulsive. It makes me drool. Can't stop reading.
