reflecting on having now finally seen Nolan's Odyssey, i am possessed by a bizarre thought as a fan of older adventure comics - i think pattinson would actually make a pretty good Conan. he's got the structure of nose, cheek, and jaw to suit the comic art. give him a bowl cut and let him grunt.

you should really read these books, especially if: - you like speculative fiction that is doing something really, really different - you like your magic to have rules but also need a kind of strict poesis - you think skeletons are cool

like twenty years ago now, my spouse and our friends recognized that i have a real problem, an addict's response to doing research. i now know this is pretty common in people with adhd but it's SO strong w/me. anyway i find it very understandable that a fellow infomaniac would find AI compelling.

Hi everyone, today me and 22 others at Double Fine were hit by layoffs today. All the people who lost their jobs today care so much about the games they make and the people they work with. If anyone is looking for a tools SE with 7 years of experience and who brings baked goods on Mondays lmk.

i didn't really eat cheese as a kid and despite having tried to develop a taste for the funk as an adult many cheeses have a bouquet, aftertaste, or grit i find intolerable. I don't eat many cheeses, apologies. my fav cheese is leipäjuusto. buttery flavour, nice firm texture, extremely versatile.

People on Bluesky sigh and talk about The Discourse as if it were something required of them instead of something they opt to partake in, day in and day out. You really don't have to. Post about your favorite cheese

this is the thing that's been driving me crazy about placing an extremely literate author and classicist against an extremely literate filmmaker, the comparison was never really about the merits of either work. it's a brazen attempt to drum up a sort of culture war event ex nihilo, and it sucks?

Makes it sound like she’s leading an unprompted crusade against the film so that we all go ‘what a load of elitist gatekeeping’ when actually she was commissioned by a literary publication to give her opinion as a scholar for people who like to read that sort of thing
