She was AGHAST that Nolan, with his million $ budget, gave Matt Damon ONLY 6 hair extensions. As a result, his hair did not blow around properly, & that ruined the film for her.

Bill Smiley@neokefka99.bsky.social · 22h agoWatching CONAN THE BARBARIAN and remembered that Oliver Stone's original script changed the setting to some kind of post-apocalyptic distant future. That was obviously changed when Milius rewrote it but I'm curious whst other movies did the "looks sword and sorcery, actually post apocalyptic" setup.
As a reminder, wealthy German Liberals once decided that rather than acquiesce to progressive and redistributive policies that benefit everyone, they would rather help create the conditions for fascism to grow and consolidate power because they viewed "socialism" as a threat to their privilege.

After keeping my dysphoria bottled up from a very young age and then making a few attempts to transition that I had to abort for various reasons throughout my late 20s and early 30s, I finally did so at 34, which isn't exactly "later" in life but getting there did take persistence and endurance!
