These are some of the first mockups I did in trying to establish the art style in Mina the Hollower. 🎨 The approach to tile texturing remained similar, but quite a lot changed, including the color palette. Mina's sprite hadn't been changed yet either! 🐭

I sometimes feel like the way I function is I can only feasibly fulfill like 20% of a task, whatever it is. if I say to myself make one drawing it will probably be unfinished or a lackluster version, if I say draw 50 things I at least end up doing the 10 before giving up

with older rhythm heaven games, seeing those videos that are like "play this minigame but on the video itself" I thought that was cute, now with groove it's like damn this is as close as I can get without owning a switch
