The final chapter of my PhD is published in Journal of Experimental Biology! And, we got the cover! We used biologgers to estimate great hammerheads' temperature “sweet spot.” We saw they can perform well at a range of temps, which supports observations from the field. (1/2) 🌊🦑🧪🐟

This is the first paper that I publish with undergrads from a statistical consulting & collaboration course I teach at University of Toronto. With TA help, they did an amazing job fitting hidden Markov models and learning about Goliath Grouper. Our undergrads are top notch 👌🏽 #AnimalMovement 🧪

New paper! We use telemetry to identify behaviors of goliath grouper while they are in a seasonal spawning aggregation. Behaviors will vary based on lunar phase, water temperature and current strengths. www.int-res.com/abstracts/me...
