Now watching- Sanctuary (1998) This is a low budget Canadian action movie directed by Tibor Takács. He directed the Gate and I, Madman, so I’m hoping for at least a little pizzazz.

Now watching- The Legend of Hell House (1973) I got this tape last month. I already had a copy, but I think it has a different cover.

Now watching- Journey to the Center of the Earth (1999) This is a two episode mini series from Hallmark Entertainment.

This Mitsubishi VCR has a cool jog wheel on the remote. This is supposed to be so you can examine sports moments, but lowkey, a lot of the advanced features on VCRs were about jerking off.

I know that the black box VCRs were all the rage towards the end of the VCR lifespan, but I absolutely love these old units like that JVC. And, as long as you're willing to go in there and replace bands every few years, they're basically immortal.

Just got some new VCRs this morning! I can’t wait to peek inside that JVC.

Now watching- Firefox (1982) This is a cold war spy movie with a little sci-fi element. The Soviets have developed a machine 5 stealth plane and Clint Eastwood has to steal it!

I think for a long time, we’ve tried to avoid sounding like corporate shills by not mentioning media companies. We don’t say “NBC/Universal’s Knight Rider” we just say Knight Rider. Times have changed. Now it’s actually pretty bourgeois to assume everyone has access to every streaming service.

Now watching- The Driver (1978) It’s some kind of crime story about a getaway driver. Directed by Walter Hill who did The Warriors, 48 HRS. and Streets of Fire. Sound great!

Now watching- Resurrection (1980) This is about a lady who gets psychic powers to heal, and everyone gets pissed off that she’s not religious about it. Sounds pretty interesting.
