Printing out spells and cutting them into spell-cards for the players works well. Has anyone bothered to do this with combat actions (topple, pierce, etc.) and was it worth it? Did it make things easier for the players and thus smoother play overall? #Dragonbane #spellcards

Had some free time today and started to a carve some of the initiative tiles I’m making for my #dragonbane campaign. It took about an hour to do two (of ten). I may regret my wood selection. But too far in to start over now!

I've been digging into the new Dragonbane TTRPG (Scandinavian-born D&D alternative), and it seems like a blast. The roll-under and skill-focused systems seem like a much better onboarding experience for brand-new-to-TTRPG players than 5e. Have you had a chance to play a game in it? Thoughts?
Languages - PCs meet a creature that speaks a language you aren't sure they know, we'd roll a Language check. Do you then record a successful check as meaning the PC always knowing that particular language? Does this also imply players start off not knowing what there PC can speak?

This week in Dragonbane, we found a well with a chimera guarding treasure at the bottom. Lowering ourselves one by one on a rope turned out to just be feeding PCs to the chimera with extra steps, so we’ll be back with a metal grate and light a fire over the mouth of the well.

I couldn’t find a map in the DRAGONBANE rulebook, for the cellar of THE CASTLE IF THE ROBBER KNIGHT. It probably really doesn’t need one, but i wouldn’t want the players to assume anything, so I just made one up.
