Our group started using a timer for combat. The players have to all declare their actions in initiative order each round before anyone rolls anything. I had hoped it would cut down on table talk, but it really added a sense of urgency and drama too.
The Castle of the Robber Knight is my favorite Dragonbane battlemap. It’s a sample adventure in the #dragonbane hardcover rule book. I forgot to make the base two layers of corrugated cardboard so it’s warping a little, but it’s easily fixable. Gorilla Wood Glue Ultimate is the best!

Included in the #dragonbane QuickStart rules, The Riddermound adventure was my groups first experience with the game. I made the battlemap in layers, so the ground level sections could be removed to reveal the dungeon, one section at a time. I made a lot of mistakes building it, but it worked ok.

I finished the battlemaps for the ORACLE CAVE. The biggest map I’ve done ever, it’s in 13 sections! It’s one of the #dragonbane adventures included in THE SECRET OF THE DRAGON EMPEROR campaign.

The #dragonbane QuickStart guide is a great way to try it out. Our 5E group needed a fill-in DM for a couple weeks. So I ran the adventure in the QuickStart guide with the pregen characters and we had a blast playing! It was a great fun. #ttrpg #dnd
