I'd say whenever I'm putting together a #TTRPG or #DnD / #D&D Campaign of any kind, the first thing I do is find a core concept, be it an idea, point of view, or something else I want to explore through the campaign. It can be relevant to the world, a wider philosophical view, or even just 1/ 🧵

#TTRPGtip An easy way to encourage players to roleplay and describe their actions as a GM for any system, especially newer players who may not know how to do so, is to open the door for them by taking their existing ideas, descriptions, etc. and adding to it a bit, then rewarding them for it too!

It's bad enough that major media outlets refused to publish the manifesto (though they were happy to quote from it selectively); but they also won't even articulate a reason why. Shouldn't they at least have to explain the decision?

No, the DMG (or system equivalent) is a good thing to read through, but if you know the system well enough you can generally get through most things without having read it. That said, you SHOULD always at least read the core sections and anything you aren’t familiar with in the book #TTRPG
