Theatre of the absurd! Trump announces US will buy diesel from russia even though he signed a law mandating sanctions for any country buying russian energy. Meanwhile russia actually has a diesel export ban because they can’t meet domestic demand.

This is completely outrageous and disgusting. This must immediately be blocked by Congress and Trump should be impeached for this. The US is now funding Putin’s war machine as he murders civilians including children. We are lost as a country.

We've seen Trump do some shitty things to Ukraine since taking office (Oval Office incident; Alaska summit; Patriot U-turn) but today he's chosen to do a diesel deal with Putin that plays to Russia's economic/warchest advantage and restricts Ukraine's ability to defend itself.

This is such a shame. How is America, once a beacon of freedom for us (or was it just a nice pr?) so easily accepting this corruption of a scale and magnitude unseen anywhere else in the globe?

Let me make this very clear. Diesel prices have spiked because of Trump's war against Iran. Ukraine has nothing to do with it. But by buying russian diesel now, Americans will be helping fund the murder of Ukrainian children in their beds. Congratulations, folks.

Even Trump is not so thick he cannot see what this is: Russian fuel feeds the war effort; Ukraine strikes refineries to stop that and impair Russia. Trump has made a clear choice here: side with the invader and tie the defender's hands. Shameful.
