Seeing some posts here one of the things I think is a major uphill battle for the people is voting on the things that aren't exactly tied to personalities or obviously BIG CHANGES -- tax levies, "accountability measures" with hidden agendas, and my most unfavorite thing where I live, the courts

The maddest man on the Internet. Renowned recluse. Cavs, Eagles, Jays, Sabres, Heels (all sports), Volvo. RT = Endorsement. Ban Chainblocking. ACAB? APAB Too.
I mean, for as much as I get whacked for enjoying latter-day SNK products (the inclusion of certain elements in a certain game notwithstanding), best of luck getting the Madden crowd to hop off now that EA has offered its ass of "wealth" to a Saudi group. Wealth extraction is killing everything man
on a gaming discord server (surprise!) one of the channels had a "No Politics" rule and I just think that's cowardice. frankly, I don't wanna talk about that shit in /that crowd/. but all that "keeping the peace" isn't worth it; the way industries of all sorts are moving you need to know "politics".
and speaking of said absentee BUM, it's funny that a lot of these ersatz Race Warriors defending the dignity of Black folks had all the things to say about Abdul, but not about Thanedar who is literally the meme of the deadbeat dad going out for smokes and never coming back home
glad to see that absentee BUM will no longer be "representing" that part of Michigan. the people there deserved better. Let's go Donovan.
WASHINGTON (AP) — Donavan McKinney wins Democratic nomination for U.S. House in Michigan's 13th Congressional District.
Also: I like that Mario Hezonja will be a Cavalier, but I do NOT like the choice of uniform number. they need to give him a number in the 30s or 40s. Anything but that 10 so soon.
In other news. I am happy that I will finally have a vested rooting interest in the WNBA. Everything about the Sirens rollout is great, especially the team colors. Leaning on Lake Erie is good. In 2028, my posts about the W will start looking like my posts in other league sports. Be prepared
"AI is the asbestos we're shovelling into the walls of our technological society. Our descendants will spend generations digging it out again, and the longer the bubble goes on without popping, the longer it will take to repair the damage." Good lord [positive]
Cory Doctorow: The people who tell you ‘AI is changing everything’ are lying
It has become impossible to tell managers mesmerised by artificial intelligence that the tools are not, in fact, helpful. So employees just play along with the fiction to keep their jobs, writes our t...

NEW: Elon Musk clearly hates talking about Tesla's stagnant car biz these days so @russellbrandom.bsky.social and I mapped out just how much it's taken a back seat on the company's earnings calls. Musk now spends half or more of his time talking about AI & robotics: techcrunch.com/2026/08/04/e...
The best thing ever. I wanted that SFZ3U port to get that PSP version out of orphan status and they delivered
On this day a year ago, it was announced during the EVO 2025 event that Capcom Fighting Collection 2 was receiving a free title update, implementing QoL upgrades, new artworks & CAP-JAMS tracks, & additional characters for Street Fighter Alpha 3 Upper. www.youtube.com/watch?v=mmlq...
That AI "food" menu is grounds for a ban Are you selling poopoo or food?
Speaking of Tlaib, I saw her make a comment that actually cuts to the heart of the issue with American politics (from jump): she listed a list of all the big corporations that have been throwing money at the "pragmatic" (read: tongue-in-the-booty for the corporations etc) option. that's clarifying.
I have absolutely no community with that particular sort of "Negroliberal". Or the temporarily embarrassed Republicans who would be there if not for the white supremacy. post-G W Bush, that's become harder to ignore. I used to drink that Kool-Aid, but compromise (in that regard) is for suckers
so much of the Black political class in Michigan (specifically around Detroit) is not only racist (toward Arabs) but they still salty off the lost opportunity of Kamala/Biden Bucks not being shipped their way. Why is a bum like Shri Thanedar representing any part of the city?
I think Max Miller MIGHT be my "representative" without any sort of equivocation, FUCK that guy in the goat ass. You better get the belt out, Poindexter
few things exemplify the change in the WNBA more than this. until recently, you wouldn't see many controversies like this (being responded to). But now that there are more eyes on the league (and certain players within are being allowed to grift)... Kudos to Cheryl for not eating poopoo.
Cheryl Reeve’s shirt today:
my reaction to the Skubal trade: "I ask MLB one thing: is it OK for a team to eat poopoo?"
the other night, people were talking about "who would wear a Len Bias jersey" and my immediate thought was Dart Adams
The funny thing about movies for me: is that I rarely gravitate to those with superlative reviews. it matches my music tastes in hip-hop at the turn of the century.
A certain movie that is celebrating its 40th anniversary comes to mind

A universal truth about Gen Xers & film is a movie can be mediocre but stay in rotation and be remembered provided it’s at least quotable. “Billy Bathgate” has largely gone forgotten since its release in late 1991 whereas “Mobsters” hasn’t—even though it arguably wasn’t as good a film. Guess why?
Good. And certain "influencers" (paid opps running the race hustle) are being disingenuous over the Black voter support for Talarico in Texas. Ken Paxton is as vile as they come in that state. Tony Buzbee's favorite client.
Texas Senate Race (Fox News): Talarico (D) 51% Paxton (R) 48% July 23-27, 2026 www.foxnews.com/official-polls
There are things that still make me smile.
Why Your Team Sucks 2026: New York Giants
The second people stop being singularly focused on Trump and move the machine that propels him (and the "centrists" among us), we will see better days. And that's the bottom line.

I'm really tired of this shit. It's on record, the place I've lived the most in my life besides here is South Carolina. And of course, I'm against them being first in the primaries because I know how the machine works in that state. No courage whatsoever. Fatback and biscuits is chief on the menu.
The thing is, it's nothing you motherfuckers who supposedly told ME about Platner, Fetterman and any other candidate considered undesirable is something I need to be listening to. Your political education is at best remedial, and if you come to me talking that shit, I'm slapping you in the face.
The Michigan U.S. Senate Primary has sent me into another level of disdain for the Black Political Class in that state, specifically around Detroit. It is more than apparent that racism and the loss of potential "fatback and biscuits" from a politic spending untold sums of money is the motivation.
Favorite song on this was "The Actual" of course but also "Xtreme", "Afta Hourz", "Favorite Things" and "Just Live". A shame that "Move On You/Basic Training" didn't make the album though
#MusicHistoryA-Z #musicsky All City Rap duo from Brooklyn consisting of emcees, J. Mega and Greg Valentine. They hit the scene around 1995, initially being discovered by the guys in Onyx, and came out on their sublabel on MCA. The only have 1 album, 1998's "Metropolis Gold".
Even NINTENDO THEMSELVES called it "Zelda III" before launch, right there on the console's box
So weird seeing younger folks insisting that no one ever referred to A Link to the Past as “Zelda III” before it was released (these same people don’t seem to understand how makeshift names for sequels are embraced by fans before those sequels get an official title).
I actually can see the blue in the sky again. At least for a few hours. AQI back in the 70s. Thank the Matrix.
