Seeing some posts here one of the things I think is a major uphill battle for the people is voting on the things that aren't exactly tied to personalities or obviously BIG CHANGES -- tax levies, "accountability measures" with hidden agendas, and my most unfavorite thing where I live, the courts

on a gaming discord server (surprise!) one of the channels had a "No Politics" rule and I just think that's cowardice. frankly, I don't wanna talk about that shit in /that crowd/. but all that "keeping the peace" isn't worth it; the way industries of all sorts are moving you need to know "politics".

and speaking of said absentee BUM, it's funny that a lot of these ersatz Race Warriors defending the dignity of Black folks had all the things to say about Abdul, but not about Thanedar who is literally the meme of the deadbeat dad going out for smokes and never coming back home

A universal truth about Gen Xers & film is a movie can be mediocre but stay in rotation and be remembered provided it’s at least quotable. “Billy Bathgate” has largely gone forgotten since its release in late 1991 whereas “Mobsters” hasn’t—even though it arguably wasn’t as good a film. Guess why?

I'm really tired of this shit. It's on record, the place I've lived the most in my life besides here is South Carolina. And of course, I'm against them being first in the primaries because I know how the machine works in that state. No courage whatsoever. Fatback and biscuits is chief on the menu.

The Michigan U.S. Senate Primary has sent me into another level of disdain for the Black Political Class in that state, specifically around Detroit. It is more than apparent that racism and the loss of potential "fatback and biscuits" from a politic spending untold sums of money is the motivation.

Favorite song on this was "The Actual" of course but also "Xtreme", "Afta Hourz", "Favorite Things" and "Just Live". A shame that "Move On You/Basic Training" didn't make the album though

So weird seeing younger folks insisting that no one ever referred to A Link to the Past as “Zelda III” before it was released (these same people don’t seem to understand how makeshift names for sequels are embraced by fans before those sequels get an official title).
