He/him. Lead Writer/Assoc. Narra Director @Ubisoft Bordeaux, Assassin's Creed Shadows. Prev: actezero - Harmony: The Fall of Reverie, Battlestar Galactica Scattered Hopes, Atlas Fallen, Under the Waves, Chinatown Detective Agency. Vehemently anti-GenAI

This is a pretty good summary of why this stuff has zero appeal to anyone who actually enjoys making anything, and there will never be anything Ai companies can do about that. (Green absolutely torching his own credibility is just an astonishing unforced error. Write your own words!)

The specific focus in this video on the way these tools get under your skin and train you to depend on them is an aspect I personally find existentially terrifying. youtu.be/TtvICev9sBE?...

"AI is the asbestos we're shovelling into the walls of our technological society. Our descendants will spend generations digging it out again, and the longer the bubble goes on without popping, the longer it will take to repair the damage." Good lord [positive]

Must-read essential level insight from Cory @doctorow.pluralistic.net for @thenerve.news: 'This has created a situation in which everyone – "boards, executives, employees, vendors, consultants" – has a strong incentive to lie about how much AI is delivering for their companies.'

Today, August 4, 2026, is the setting of Ray Bradbury’s short story “There Will Come Soft Rains” about a fully automated house continuing on after the family who lived there and the world around it died in a nuclear blast.

the mainstream press praising rod liddle in death are not unaware he was a bigoted pedophile, they like him for it. the people in their in-group, at the top of their hierarchy, getting away with crimes signals that the world is in order. it is a moral good, to them. the bigger the crimes the better

This is objectively hilarious. Rod Liddle was the epitome of Trash Wealth. Stewart Lee did a whole 15 minute bit on how sloppy the fucker was. It was his whole thing. Trying to pass him off as Jim fucking Morrison is an impossible task even for professional white-washers.

Rod Liddle, who has died aged 66, combined a serious intellect with razor-sharp wit, writes Alex Farber

If I am ever to warrant comment upon dying I hope people would do me the honor of being honest. Rod Liddle lived to offend. He made sport of targeting the most vulnerable in our society. He deserves to be pinioned for that, no matter his corporeal status. It's the opposite of sad.

Sad to see people posting on social media negatively about Rod Liddle, who died yesterday. If I have disagreed with you very strongly in life - and you die - I hope I'll be either silent, or kind.

I have never seen a social platform so united as on the death of Rod Liddle. Right across the spectrum on here. Not even the standard self-righteous micro-bollockings in the replies. Imagine what kind of cunt you have to be to stem the high-handed whining on BLUESKY. Remarkable.

New Spiderman is probably the best MCU film since... God I don't even remember. For once, one of these films actually has something so say and, until the very last scene, commits to it. That last scene does undo a lot of the work, but even the attempt puts it in the top five MCU entries.

I'm looking for 3D artists specialized in Hard Surface modelling for SciFi architecture, Characters and vehicles, please reach out! Really really cool video game project in the works!
