I’ve been thinking about this a lot—Black K-pop fans, how do you stay into K-pop when there’s been racism from fans or idols? I’m not judging at all. I used to love SHINee and Rain, so I’m just honestly curious how you deal with it.

I don’t remember getting sick this frequently or Chicago weather ever bothering me this much, but the last 5 years have been a nightmare. I’m not sure if it’s a post-COVID world thing or if people have been nastier than usual — which makes sense given the rise in anti-vaxxers.

Classic film lovers 📢 What classic film made you fall in love with old movies? For me, it was Singin’ In The Rain! I love how playful it is and how comfortable they were with poking fun at the absurdity of early Hollywood, and the chaos of the silents-to-talkies transition.

Before there was the El Capitan on Hollywood Boulevard, there was an El Capitan on Vine Street. The top pic shows a variety show there in 1948. The venue opened in 1927 as the Hollywood Playhouse, changing names over the years, eventually becoming The Palace and now Avalon.
