Working in #Neuropsychology (NHS & Private) 🧠 Playing in the woods somewhere🌳 Sleeping to the soundtrack of dry and lengthy history podcasts 🥱

1/Great to be on Bluesky- to get started here’s a mega thread on what I know about #FND and how to have the best chance of beating it. It's just my personal view- so not set in stone - I hope people will find it helpful.

"I made this pact a while ago that because #MS is a part of me I will love it, because I have to love myself" Sandra in Australia, I can't get your words out of my mind 🧡 I see so many ppl struggle with the "warrior" mentality...pushing through, feeling a burden, highly self-critical...

Predictive models are a great tool for advising people with #epilepsy about their individualised risks around surgery BUT we tend to approach this from a clinician-centred perspective, focusing on cognition. What patients say matters most (outside of seizure freedom/reduction):

Wow, what a fantastic resource! I think the most engaging neuroanatomy tool from my student days was The Human Brain Colouring book...doesn't quite match the production value on offer here! 😅

This is an excellent #neuroanatomy resource. I have been using it with my students for a number of years: "Functional Neuroanatomy" neuroanatomy.ca Dr. Claudia Krebs University of British Columbia (UBC) #neuropsychology resource

Looking forward to digging into this later. There's so much momentum building in clinical and research worlds to improving what we can offer people living with #FND. Very much needed.
