Cripplingly awkward, standard grumpy middle ager. My interests are eclectic. No AI | No Hate www.Drennan.uk www.YouTube.com/ThingsThatGoBump [DMs are open, but please no Porn/OnlyFans/Cam Accounts, you will be blocked, I'm just not interested.]

I've been wondering why my phone seems to always be set on vibrate only. Turns out hitting Power and Volume Up at the same time sets ALL notifications to vibrate, including calls. And apparently it's very easy to do this on an #/e/OS #Fairphone6 without even realising. Cool. Love that. 10/10 😐

Got some fancy new gadgets for my #OMSystem #TG-7. Got the adapter ring so I can attach filters, which of course means I also got a Circular Polariser, and the LED Macro Ring Light adapter too! 🤩

Had a weapons grade prick driving right up my arse on the way to work this morning, flashing their lights, desperate to break the speed limit. When I eventually took my turning I looked in my rearview and they were in a classic Mini with a Punisher logo slapped on the side. Says it all really...

Me: Crippling insomnia. If lucky, three hours a day of disturbed sleep. My Partner: Sleeps through fifteen alarms, snoozes a further ten, asks for "just five more minutes", sleeps for a further thirty-six blissful hours.

Someone has to go to the "V-E-T" today. She is currently in a state of pure feline bliss, and I'm about to ruin her whole day... 😫

Are people constantly editing the Smoke Sensor low battery blip into their videos for the epic lulz, or does no-one ever change the battery in their literal life saving equipment? At this point AI is probably going to replace us for our own good, like putting Grandpa in a home for his own safety 😅

One of the worst parts of living almost directly across from a pub is the multiple, terrible, weekly karaoke renditions of "I Will Survive", which honestly could be classed as legitimate war crimes...

I fancy playing Destiny 2. Put the disc in: Game needs to install. Game is 171.37GB (not including DLC). My connection speed: Only ~65Mbps Estimated install completion: 5 hours 21 minutes. My patience: Tested and wearing thin...

I have a new book out! Sent to Restoration London in a pioneering time-travel project, historian Shelagh Harris finds herself instead stranded in 800BC Kent. Unable to get home by herself, she has to figure out how to survive and adapt. For fans of time travel, archaeology, and nameless horrors.

Flat lay marketing photo of Field Notes paperback book with bookmark and hologram sticker laid out with some shells and a feather.

People think I have a GPS tracker in my car so I can track it in the event of theft, which I'll admit, is handy, but the reality is it's so I can find wherever I parked the bastard thing when I go back to work after my four days off each week 😅 #AgeingMillenialProblems

So a property management company linked to my building thought the previous owner was still living in our flat and are saying we owe £450 in unpaid ground rent because they've no record of us paying as they didn't know we lived here even though we've paid every year via our RTM. I just can't...

Me: *Starts work at 06:30* My Brain: "I best make sure you're wide awake by 00:30!" My Body: "And I'll make sure you're as uncomfortable and restless as possible until then!"

My colleague just sent me one of her Facebook memories, and it said seven years ago today we were in Dering Woods (The Screaming Woods) in #Pluckley doing a Ghost Hunt. It was a good night, but unfortunately the "scariest" thing we saw was a group of drugged up chavs who thought they were hard.
