We're dug into the seismo-acoustic data but it was inconclusive - our ground-based network is growing though so we'll be in a better position for the next one. Also looking into InSAR and optical (but cloudy), so maybe we'll have something more concrete in a few more days.

This kind of report should be accompanied by a press conference—not with some low-level bureaucrat, but with the prime minister. Flanked by all of his ministers. In prime time, with technical briefings. This report says we're facing unimaginable disaster, yet we didn't even get a briefing.

BC politics is fascinating because it shows the discrepancy between voting and parties. No one votes for parties, they vote for individuals. But it's parties and not individuals that get all the collective action: memberships, bureaucracies, administrators, leadership contests, donations etc.
