This needs a bit of Ella lore. I was very active in the local scene when we were trying to get the right for gay marriage years ago. Things that were said to me were horrible and I’d never wish upon anyone. I was blamed for the wildest things and wished death on and was told I should be murdered.

I am proudly bi. I have been told to my face I’m an evil that has contributed the death of many others. And that I should die as well. And looking long term? Do you really think the murder of ONE CEO is going to fix our healthcare system? No. Someone else will step forward with more horrible ideas.

I also don’t do politics here. But I need to add to this. I live in a very red state in the US. What’s being said to justify people’s defense of the assassination is the same words as the people who spout hate to me. Morality varies among humans, what one concusses moral others concider repugnant.

I try, diligently, to keep my fandom spaces free from politics. I have my limit. I have heard all the justifications for the murder of the United CEO before. It is the same language used to justify the assassination of abortion providers. I beg people, do not justify the unjustifiable.
