Stress cleaning on a public holiday because siblings-in-law are coming for a visit and, well, you know how it is. Everything in the house suddenly feels not-clean-enough and in the wrong place 😅🫠🫠

Today I have to do a devotion service for delegates from different Reformed churches in Africa, where most do not have women in ministry. And it just feels like defending myself to a room full of men. While living in Kempton Park where the epidemic of women being murdered is in the forefront.
It's my bday today and I got a lovely thundershower as the ultimate gift!

So yesterday had to put on my big girl pants and have lunch with people that hurt me and my family. It was so very awkward. They came to actually apologize, and yet they left without actually saying the words "I'm sorry". They were really close friends and mostly I'm just sad. (1/2)

Today I spent some time in my old hood, Sunnyside. It was very nostalgic and made me a bit homesick. This place shaped me as a person more, and longer than any other place. I shared the experience with two people. One, an old friend, the other a new friend. (A thread...)
