Hol-lee. It’s a visual feast, and I’ll bet they deliver on the game play. This revival of an older favourite is in good hands. @robdaviau.bsky.social @restorationgames.bsky.social (now if I could just get it in MY hands…)

Sorry not sorry. Loved the movie btw. Def recommend. Maybe a little TOO loud for my local theater to handle.
Still don’t get why he gets the hate he does. It’s 100% projection of some sort. I’ll never understand it. Go Philly. Beat Boston.
Just learned that this wonderful documentary is now free on YouTube. It's an extremely wholesome look at miniature gaming and chronicles Jon Heder's journey to find and interview the late John Blanche (the interview is a treasure). Highly recommended! www.youtube.com/watch?v=8W2q...

I remember when this game seemed like it was over. And then it came back. That it’s still going strong makes me very happy. If you mostly play games solo, do not sleep on this game. Robust solo and co-op mode for those who can’t (or don’t care to) do multiplayer:
Ashes Ascendancy Natural Magic Expansion is available now in retail stores and the Plaid Hat Games web-store! Add two new Phoenixborn to your collection, and behold the power of natural magic! Also included is a new Dragonborn, Indiri Aldair! #ashes #ashesascendancy #ashesreborn #plaidhatgames
You're welcome. Part aftershave. Part stale cigarette smoke. Part SNL skit. Sometimes in key. Sometimes not. All magic. www.youtube.com/watch?v=JeJb...

Cardboard Cinema returns with a bucket of chum. Today I'm picking apart Spielberg's magnificent film and the Prospero Hall board game that adapts it. Both offered a view of their creator's potential. Both are pure cinema. playerelimination.com/2026/07/13/c...

Don’t flop. I could give a shit if that’s fair or not. I’m not even rooting for ARG.
Thank god. Now I can watch top shelf soccer without everyone pretending like the USA have a quality team.
This is from 2018. Just so folks know I’m consistent about this and not “some American who doesn’t understand soccer”. Also our President is a twat.
In regard to the red card for Balogun being revoked (and Messi not getting a card): The issue isn't card vs. no card. Calls are blown. It's part of sports. The issue is suspensions based on cards (and technical fouls in the NBA). THAT is such an idiotic approach. Keep everything in one magic circle.
Lived here nearly 30 years and finally saw the Northern Lights. Crazy to see them out in our front street.

This makes me an absolute goon, but forgive the Quinquagenarianism. It's EQ but: Three classes/jobs at once. Solo everything (even raids). You can set difficulty levels and still party for fun (gasp). Lots of other QoL. Starts tomorrow. Best video overview (imo): www.youtube.com/watch?v=OjkG...

As much as I was thrashing about the VAR offside (and that’s frankly a nitpick), this World Cup has had the best overall quality soccer in my lifetime. Very little flopping and trying to play disingenuously at the end of games.
Why in the world would ANYONE buy an overpriced Steam Machine when they could simply set a budget, watch hours of YouTube reviews, spends months reading subreddits, choose between Intel and AMD, pick a CPU, match it to a motherboard with the correct socket and chipset,
I don’t mind shared victories, but I also like this option:
If you have to share the victory, it can only happen if you both stand up and shake hands above the table for no less than 30 seconds while staring directly into the opponent’s eyes. If either of you look away or stop shaking before time runs out, the other person wins.
This is getting out of hand. I like that "daylight" rule folks have been mentioning more and more. I also find the VAR unreasonably untrustworthy, not based on reality in any way, just the feeling this gives me. www.youtube.com/shorts/QiKZn...

I feel like something should change about offside in soccer. I don't know how you fix it though. Losing a goal (which is rare enough as it is) because of a dang toe is a little rough to take.
So happy Jaron Lanier is re-surfacing. This is probably the best distillation of his current thinking on social media, AI (although AI doesn't exist.. which he explains.. god I hate that they made that stick), Big Tech... and the many things wrong with Silicon Valley. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vmx3...
