Saul Eslake in The Guardian frames it as Labor's fault they can't "sell" house prices falling. Is it really Labor's fault they can't sell this message or is it the right wing media screaming that house price reductions is a BAD THING? I own my home and support housing affordability! It's positive!

Melbourne, Australia - Naarm Strong believer in social democracy All views my own
I hope everyone who has rightly complained about housing unafforability for years and years is going to jump in and defend Labor for reforming negative gearing in the face of right wing media’s attacks. Even if you don’t “like” Labor, surely you can see why this collective support is important?

Energy Minister Chris Bowen insists the data centre boom and his plans to drive down Australian emissions can co-exist.

Jess Wilson repeatedly dodges questions on whether One Nation Vic leader Warren Pickering’s status as a conspiracy theorist is ‘alarming’, until finally admitting she finds it “very normal” 🙄 What’s ‘alarming’ is the prospect of a Wilson-Pickering government running Victoria.

Media and political complacency is letting Pauline Hanson re-write the rules on accountability
The media have the power to make Hanson’s tyrannical attitudes and behaviour a central issue, and their failure to use this power has only emboldened her.

The look you give when Victorians discover you are a self- described conspiracy theorist and committed anti-vaxxer, but you lead a political party that wants to govern the state.

More new businesses were created in July, after the Budget, than in any other month on record. There’ve been 30 times the businesses starting up than closing down each day on average under Labor, and insolvency rates are almost half what they were under the Howard Government.
There is no decency in right wing political culture and this lack of decency is poisoning democracy. My analysis 👇 independentaustralia.net/politics/pol...
It's Right to say a decency deficit is poisoning democracy
Political dysfunction is not a “both sides” problem; it is the result of a right-wing culture that has currently abandoned decency and democratic norms,

Just sayin… Ms Hanson.. you can stick your ‘monoculture’ where the sun don’t shine. Not one of the dedicated, fabulous team that has looked after me in hospital would be ‘acceptable’ by your so called monocultural standard and I’m so grateful I had them all looking after me! #Auspol

Victorians turn out in massive numbers to denounce Pauline Hanson’s “racism and fascism” — swarming her fundraiser to demand she get out of the state.💥 This should be the greeting she gets everywhere she peddles her hate. Well done Victoria. #auspol
Pauline Hanson flees her own custom-curated presser. With ABC & Guardian banned, & far-right criminal Avi Yemini running interference, still can’t handle questions, even from Sky “Shouldn't all media have access...?"💥 Not even sidekick Avi could save her from total humiliation.
She’s done this before, but this time she’s included The Age. Do we really want a Trumpian assault on the free press here? You’ve got to stand together over this
Media outlets should all stand together in opposition to this: boycott the conference altogether. The ban will grow to include you one day if you don’t cut it at the root
