Deeply disturbing story, however this stems from abject failure of wider media to challenge linguaphobia and monolingual ideologies that are widely held. Why can’t a majority of Brits accept that we live in a multilingual world? And how is this fuelling rise of Far Right attacks on languages? 1/3
