My strengths? Probably saying “this is unacceptable” on a customer support call knowing full well that I will be accepting whatever they say.
Tried a few remote dev setups and exe.dev feels like the play.

On week 6 of no consistent childcare. Dishwasher busted. Washing machine was run with surprise beach sand. NGMI.
Working on a web-based peer client for herdr. Hoping to polish enough to use it on mobile. Currently using moshi and like it a lot, but also just wanted to see how far I could get.
Anyone want to hop on a call sometime this weekend/next week and chat about a server side JS tool belt I’m working on? orion-cli-tour.pages.dev#step-1
Ever have a dog come in to your life and you can’t stop thinking about how much you wish it was your dog?
Working on a JS tool belt for building apps with an opinionated architecture. It encourages opinionated patterns and architecture that seem to hold up well. Idiomatic usage is a single JS server w/ sqlite db. Been wanting to try our Pear for a while and watched a new talk on it this week.

Sharing this a little early to get some more perf measurements before I do a write up. It’s an exploration of creating a low latency/fast UX web app using sqlite + Datastar + CQRS on a single DO Droplet. No sync engines, services, client side data. tangled.org/drk.wtf/dbugs dbugs.yagni.club

Had to whip up a script for stashing my YouTube tabs after discovering they consume a ton of resources/make the MacBook hot to the touch when sitting idle. I open YouTube links in new tabs all day and likely will never get around to watching them, but the script does keep my MacBook a lot cooler.
After reading the Github write up on their PR page performance improvements I wanted to see how quickly I could prototype a performant diff viewer using Datastar. largediff.fly.dev largediff.fly.dev/doc
Playing around with building a local music player using Datastar/hypermedia to demonstrate you don’t need a full SPA stack/project for this kind of UX. github.com/derekr/athr
