The CDC recently updated its cyclosporiasis data. There are now 4,173 confirmed cases, making it the largest US cyclospora outbreak ever. 41 states have reported cases. This is just the tip of the iceberg with states reporting several thousand more cases that are awaiting to be confirmed.

Every year for the past four years (since I moved into this house), I've watched a tiger swallowtail butterfly fly through my backyard between 5-6pm DAILY in the month of June. There is no way that it's the same butterfly. Why does each generation follow the same schedule? Nature is amazing.
