Anyway, I've been enjoying off-the-grid fiber arts tremendously and I hope that more people are touching grass this way as well. Our attempts to connect with real people as a family, though, only managed to suck us into one epidemic after the other 🫠 What a dance.

I edit a research magazine for a University. We are proud that we don't use AI for our text and our motto is "no half truths." But what can we do if our knowledge is polluted at the source?

Holy cats, this entire thread. So glad she asked bc it sounds like the presenter was not going to mention that he used AI. Definitely makes me wonder if conferences need to require a statement about whether AI was used and how for presentations

In fact, the speaker admitted to "working very closely with Claude", to the point where he's currently "writing" a book entirely written by AI. People in the amphitheater gasped. The speaker - a scholar from France - then shared that his "experiment" has led him to feel useless as an intellectual.
