“To accountants, some courses or departments may be viewed as cost centres. But to lecturers and students, and the places in which they are based, they are cultural resources – repositories of knowledge built up over decades, some of which will have a specific, local character and relevance”

10 days into shift to coeliac friendly dietary changes. I’m not gonna lie, it’s been a 🎢, & yesterday was not a good day WRT energy, pain & outlook 😭 onwards! Screaming into the ether, as while I know there has been no better time to be a ceoliac, it’s still a HUGE adjustment.

Day 6 doing coeliac diet. What learnt?! Most places so far seem accommodating. If I can’t find anything out & about, there are always crisps 😂 “free from” range is super expensive. Gluten free scones OK but not convinced of texture. Welcome words are “avoid contamination” “dedicated fryer” 😂

I took my visiting NZ parents to Oban for the night. The weather was unbelievable, even for Scotland 😭 😂 they thought they’d left winter 😂 torrential rain, feels like 10 degrees, white out cloud so no views 😂 sigh .

First day of going gluten free for the rest of my life. It begins! And I have to say, while these were crazy expensive I was pleased to find them. Treating myself / being kind for the next little while, esp as I’m feeling v unwell at the moment 😭

First harvest. 3 sugar snaps 😂 you’d never know I planted beans or lettuce. Snails & slugs took them all! Slow start to the summer colour with all this rain & lack of light but slowly slowly
