A canal bridge in Banbury has been earmarked for demolition. Neithorpe Bridge, just off Southam Road, is no longer used by vehicles but provides a pedestrian link from Hanwell Fields to the towpath. The Canal & River Trust says it is heavily corroded and “no longer fit for purpose”.
