Two watercolours of the Piazza del Mercato in #Siena, signed "Eben. T Hoeck" and dated 1894. I bought these in a local auction 10 years or so ago. Ebenezer Thomson Hoeck (Paisley 1865 - Glasgow 1932). He married in 1893 so these were possibly painted on his honeymoon.

#Honey really is a fucking scandal in the UK. We import 86% of it and 77% of that is from nameless, untraceable sources in China (cf the EU's 40% & 13%) Don't buy supermarket "honey". I find Polish/Eastern European shops are great for proper honey (esp my favourite, Buckwheat honey).
