And that’s another GenCon in the books. Even with the tornado, it was still the best GenCon ever for me. I had a good game to demo, got to hang out with mah sistah, two of my community were here, got hugged by Ed Greenwood, saw Faster Purple Worm, attended the SSG player meetup… good times!

First day at GenCon was the best thing ever. Got to see so many people I knew, demoed a fun game, hung out with my sister, and got to watch @bonniebellg.bsky.social play Faster Purple Worm! and got to be on stage a few minutes and told a funny science joke. I was a Dragonborn Paladin named Charley!

This GenCon has charged out the gates. Hanging out with Cypher a second time, and Mark Meer and then Felicia Day stopped by to talk to her. Both of them were like… you look familiar. And both nodded when I mentioned my sister and having seen both many times over the years at DragonCon... :)

Apparently, Brit Floyd is playing in the amphitheater a block away from the JW in Indy and I can pretty much listen to the show from my room.

At GenCon, and I hadn’t even had the chance to post my usual game of ‘who is the first person I recognize?’ before I ran across @cypheroftyr.bsky.social. Auspicious start to the weekend.

Holy shit, I fixed my Razer Tartarus' janky thumbstick/d-pad. Replacement microswitches + soldering iron + flux + desoldering wire = win! I also have enough spare switches to last for a couple of years cos I read a LOT of complaints about their poor design.
