Great. Came back from my long weekend to an all-staff meeting where it's announced we're coming under new ownership, and all of us have to wait for individual offers to work at the new place.

Whoops, listened to Hadestown at the gym and ended up crying on the beach press.
Charles Schulz drew a new Peanuts comic every single day for almost 50 years. That is 17,897 individual comic strips. I'm sure, somewhere in that vast archive, you can find an ACTUAL DRAWING that fits whatever you want to say and easily edit in your own speech bubbles instead of using "AI" slop.
New life challenge unlocked: finding a gay therapist in town that you don't already, um, know.
Only a couple days left to see Hadestown at the movies, and all the showings are at the crack of dawn. ๐ซ
Nostalgia aside, the thing with analog vfx is that they require the audience to use their imagination, making the filmgoing experience an active rather than a passive one. It's ok if the shark doesn't show up for a while, or the skeletons are jerky, or matte lines appear around the starships.
what the many, many โimperfectionsโ of the vfx of the analog age forced me to do as a viewer was to engage my own creativity in completing in my mind what was imperfect on the screen.
The lady guffawing in the background really sells it.
this guy gets it
I deserve to take myself out to dinner after finally completing this project, but I also did a double workout this morning to catch up on my gym log, and I'm so tired I can barely walk, so pizza and a movie at home it is.
Been working like mad all day to finish a freelance project and didn't realize my hair had done this pompadour thing?
I think he's the one who represented Patty Larceny.

Post a perfect album from the 90s that isn't nirvana, soundgarden, pearl jam, or alice in chains.

Masters of the Universe is decently fun, but
It's turning into the year of David Re-Learning How To Draw. Attended a queer figure drawing event at a nearby gallery today. First time doing any figure drawing in my life, much less while the models were giving it to each other.
Can someone hold my groceries while I steal this guy's Great Pyrenees at Trader Joe's? It clearly wants to go home with me.
Hi, I'm gay and vain and I like the way this bit of my arm looked in my delivery confirmation picture.
Majel Barrett: "Previously, David tried to flirt with a cute barista, not realizing he was straight. And now, the conclusion."
You suddenly get a narrator describing your life and thereโs no way to turn it off - everyone can hear it. While shopping, at work, at home, with friends - the voice narrating your every move goes on. Who do you hope is the voice of this narrator?
I really like my new gym, but most people here seem to dress exclusively in blacks and dark grays like they're afraid of expressing something other than Grim Determinationโข๏ธ, so I think I'm gonna update my gymwear to include more Super Gay Shitโข๏ธ.
I think I had this exact style and color of lunch box in 2nd & 3rd grade, but with Teddy Ruxpin graphics. Weirdly, I never had a Teddy Ruxpin. I can still hear the *snap* of that thermos spout.
Day #226: Golden Girl (1984)
Let us all give thanks to whatever god/power we believe in that I didn't just lock myself out of the apartment during my coffee run while my roommate is out of town.
"A Christmas Carol" is its own damn prequel, what are we doing here? Does Depp have a settlement he needs to pay off?
First poster for โEBENEZERโ, a new film based on โA Christmas Carolโ starring Johnny Depp. โBefore he was Scrooge, he was Ebenezerโ
It's an expensive hobby that takes time and patience I don't have at the moment, but I'd really like to try candle-making again if for no other reason than I could update my profile to "Lifter, Baker, Candlestick-Maker."

Went on a nice morning walk for coffee before work and passed, not a dead rat, but a dying rat whose tail twitched as I stepped around it. How's everyone else's day been?
