Sad to see researchers that I truly respect(ed) to publish a paper about something I published ten years ago and simply ignore it. Fuzzy sets in phylogenetic analysis is not a novelty thanks to hard work done in Brasil, and that history cannot be simply erased by you, colonizers.

Hi all. I am very excited that after 6 years I finally got my phylogenetic comparative methods book and online exercises online. Feel free to use and share. The book is here: nhcooper123.github.io/pcm-primer/. Note that it is not finished, we had to abandon it before the sunk costs fallacy broke us

Evolution, genomics and conservation of butterflies and moths
Nature Reviews Biodiversity, Published online: 16 February 2026; doi:10.1038/s44358-025-00128-8Butterflies and moths are key indicators of functioning and healthy ecosystems around the world. This Review describes the evolutionary history of the order Lepidoptera and tracks shifts in researchers’ understanding of the clade in the genomic era; it also explores biogeographic patterns and conservation efforts for threatened species.

I am beyond excited to announce that ggplot2 4.0.0 has just landed on CRAN. It's not every day we have a new major #ggplot2 release but it is a fitting 18 year birthday present for the package. Get an overview of the release in this blog post and be on the lookout for more in-depth posts #rstats
