Riiiight. I feel like this shit’s gonna go through. It’ll get to SCOTUS which will give the go ahead. These assholes are on a roll. I don’t think there’s a real deterrent until people campaign on pulling licenses, or breaking these companies up as soon as they get into power.

Joe Biden won in 2020 when people were demanding “defund the police” and “Abolish ICE” and he gave the cops 40 billion dollars and broke ICE funding records every year of his presidency. He made sure Trump wouldn’t go to jail and then he built the deportation infrastructure for him.
ICE. Was already. A mess. “Deporter In Chief” was Obama. Dems have always increased ICE funding. Biden requested it and got it. Harris ran on it being stronger than Trump’s. Stop pretending this started with Trump or we’ll never get out.

this is the funniest argument ever, honestly. no one even wanted her to run a *good* campaign. we asked that she not eviscerate herself unnecessarily. uncommitted would have settled for one palestinian saying platitudes about peace. that was a bridge too far

Things get smoothed over as time goes on, but it really can't be overstated how aggressively hostile Kamala Harris was to the base of her own party. She actively rejected having a trans or (pro-Kamala) Palestinian speaker at the DNC, but had multiple Republicans and police officers on stage.
